This presentation provides a basic explanation of how ISO/IEC 17025 is applied to a laboratory and the benefits of a Quality System. This standard applies to all types of laboratories and all industries. ISO/IEC 17025 enables laboratories to demonstrate that they operate proficiently and can scientifically sound results. Accreditation uses standards and procedures specifically developed to determine technical competence which assures our customers that the data and results provided are accurate and reliable .The ability to generate valid data provides customers with greater confidence and satisfaction..

Our speaker:

Carissa Twele is the Laboratory Quality Manager at Fluid Life. Carissa obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a Minor in Physical Sciences from University of Alberta in Alberta, Canada in 2008. Carissa has been employed by Fluid Life  since August 2010 in a variety of roles including Laboratory Technician, and Quality Assurance Coordinator. Carissa has completed training courses in Internal Auditing for ISO/IEC 17025:2017, Lead Auditor for ISO/IEC 17025 and Oil Analysis and Lubrication Fundamentals.
