The presentation discusses the various aspects of lubrication and lube oil requirements for engines using biogas fuel. It looks at the challenges of using this type of fuel gas and explains problem solving technologies both from a fuel gas and lubricant prospective.
Our speaker:
Peter Harteveld is a Senior Technical Services Advisor with Petro-Canada Lubricants. He provides technical support for customers and Marketers in Saskatchewn, Manitoba and the GOHO area of Ontario. He is a Subject Matter Expert for power generation. Peter advises Petro-Canada customers about their lubricant related questions, visit job sites, inspects equipment and provides training.
Before joining Petro-Canada Lubricants in 2007, Peter worked as a Marine/Chief Engineer on ocean vessels for twelve years, Mechanical Technician/ Maintenance Coordinator on offshore production platforms for nine years and Field Service Engineer with another global lubricant manufacturer for five years.
Peter emigrated from the Netherlands to Canada in 2006.
Under the Dutch educational system, Peter's accreditation and certification includes Marine Engineering A, B1/B2 and Marine Engineering C1.
Peter is STLE CLS and OMA I certified.
