The economics of gear-driven industrial grinding mills and kilns still prevail over gearless technology. However, if these gears fail, mines can easily lose millions of dollars per day of downtime and more. The topic talks about the inspection methods available for the diagnosis of gears and how to assess gear life with help of various NDT techniques.
Our speaker:
Marc Ansico has been in the industry of gear inspection since 2011 working with various lubrication companies and is currently working as part of Global Physical Asset Management. He has had the pleasure of servicing companies across the Philippines, Canada, US and Mexico. On the side, he runs a handyman services company in the small town of Vernon, BC.
