PRESENTATION TOPIC:
This presentation will be a status update for API PC-12 (the future Heavy Duty Diesel Engine Oil specification). As the current chair of American Petroleum Institute (API) Lubricants Committee, Darryl will share insights of category justification, overview of current and proposed specs, timing, engine test requirements.
OUR SPEAKER:
Darryl Purificati is Senior Technical Advisor, OEM & Automotive for Petro-Canada Lubricants, an HF Sinclair brand. With nearly 30 years of experience working in the energy sector, Darryl has successfully held various roles throughout his career, including Lubricants Research and Development, OEM Sales, Fuels Quality and Technical Services. Having graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Science (Hon) in Applied Chemistry along with his in-depth product knowledge, Darryl’s expertise has been applied in his role as industry liaison and technical advisor for OEM and driveline products. Darryl is widely involved within the industry and is currently chair of the American Petroleum Institute (API) lubricants committee and plays an active role in ASTM International and the Society of Automobile Engineers.
