The Alberta Section of the STLE will be arranging a Tour of the Epcor Genesee Generating Station on Tuesday, February 19th. This tour will take place during the day, from 1 pm to 3 pm. The Genesee site is located roughly 1 hour west of Edmonton, so we will be arranging a bus to pick everyone up and transport them to and from the site. The bus will pick everyone up at one central location, so those who are coming will have to meet the bus at this location prior to departure. The bus will be meeting at Petro-Canada, in Acheson, at the below address, and leaving at noon sharp, so please be ready to get on the bus by 11:45 am. Anyone who is late will miss the tour. It will be easier to manage if everyone uses the bus, so please do not drive yourself to the Genesee site directly unless it has been approved by us in advance.
The Genesee site will only allow 20 people to be toured through their facility, so the spots for this tour will be limited to the first 20 people who show interest. If we have a lot more interest than the first 20 people, we will try and arrange a second tour at a later date.
Anyone who attends the tour will have to sign a security consent form. Once We have everyone registered I will send this form out to the 20 people.
